Who says good pictures can't be made in quarries?

Article text
Pike (Esox lucius)
The shot was taken at Stoney Cove,Leicestershire. Alex Mustard judged this as the 3rd best image from 2014 at the Bristol Underwater Photography Group. When you're land locked like I am being able to go out and hone my skills 30 minutes from home is a real benefit. I've repeatedly come in contact with people who believe good pictures will never come from a UK quarry. I'm not saying that taking pictures in cold, often silty water is easy, there is definitely some skill required to shoot these fish. It's nice to see that these sorts of image do win competitions and have a value in the underwater photographic community.
