Cairo

The Nile River at Sunset.

Nikon FM2, Nikkor 70-210 mm f4-5.6

Having a beer on the roof of the Cairotel I started to see the possiblity of taking a sunset picture. I sprinted to my room , back to the roof and managed a couple pf pics before the sun fell off the horizon. I liked the ones of with the number 3 red filter on best, one of the only time I was ever inspired to use it with colour film. I was alwats inspired by the poster that came with Pink Floyd album, Dark Side of the Moon, you might remember the one with the pyramids in green. You'll notice Giza on the horizon. The wailing from the minaret made the atmosphere complete.
