Spinner Dolphin

(Stenella longirostris)

Picture taken with Nikon FM2 - Nikkor 20mm f2.8 - Heliopan Polarizing filter - Fujichrome 100

The shot was taken on our way to Ras Mohamed back in the days when 2-3 boats was a busy day. The water was flat calm this day in May. Some of the best diving in the world used to exist in this area. Sadly return trips to the area were disappointing. The area is showing signs of damage from huge numbers of divers. I vowed never to return in 1999 and haven't been back since.

The woman dangling her legs in this shot was gorgeous and every one on the boat knew it. I prefer to remember her face personally and didn't record it on film.

Location: Ras Mohamed - Red Sea
