Just out of Port Hardy for the annual Live-Aboard trip on Clavella, the October skies are often moody with a lot of rapidly changing light. One minute the suns out and the next it's pouring with rain.
Diving in this area in generally uncrowded as it's all by boat with no roads. The underwater visibility this time with out all the plankton of the summer months often exceeds 40 meters.
