UK Waters
Shots collected over the last eleven years.
UK waters are some of the hardest environments to shoot in. The water often suffers from poor visibility. It demands the underwater photographer has a firm understanding of how to use artificial lighting.
Aside from all the other stresses a diver faces, cold, monitoring air, limited time, the inability to change lenses, currents, and depth to name a few, the good photographer is deliberate in their approach, and completes on ideas. Good underwater photos are rarely snapshots.
Most divers want to cover as many sites as possible during a dive trip. I prefer to dive the same site many times to get the best possible shots a site has to offer.
